Trivia:Alex Trebek has earned two Emmy awards and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Trebek has been nominated for Daytime Emmy awards 13 times. Born in Ontario, Canada, and attended the University of Ottawa. Before becoming a game show show host, he was a reporter for the Canadian Broadcasting Company. His first game show, Wizard of Odds, was produced by his friend Alan Thicke. Alex Trebek manages his own Creston Farms in Paso Robles, California, where he and his staff train, breed, and care for thoroughbred horses. Alex Trebek lives in Studio City, California, with his wife, Jean, and their two children, Emily and Matthew.
